Governance of St Matthew’s CE Primary School

All governors are expected to attend a termly Governors Meeting.

In addition, each governor serves on specific committees from the following:

• Personnel, Finance and Premises
• Curriculum, Safeguarding and Inclusion
• Admissions

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) – all governors are invited to attend this committee which focuses specifically on the RE and Worship in the school.

Parent Governors are appointed by election in line with guidance from the Local Authority
Foundation Governors are appointed by the PCC of St. Matthew’s Church (Little Lever)
No Governor is a relative of a member of staff at the school
